Welcoming Mike Connolly to the Premier Team

We’d like to take a moment to introduce you to Mike Connolly, the newest member of Premier’s Environmental team. Over the last few months we have expanded further East and have opened an office in Ottawa to better assist our clients in the region.

Mike Connolly recently joined Premier Environmental Services to better serve Premier’s clients in the Ottawa Region.  Mike’s experience includes working for both contractors and consultants with in excess of 28 years of experience in managing environmental site assessments, large scale decommissioning and demolitions, environmental remediation and civil projects.  Geographically, he has completed projects across the country working under both Federal and Provincial Regulations and holds Level II Secret Security Clearance with the Federal Government.  His specific experience includes the following:

  • Managing large-scale standing offer agreements, such as the assessment and remediation of former CANEX sites at Canadian Forces Bases across Canada, and the provision of environmental services to PWGSC and NAV Canada;
  • Development of cost estimates, schedules, detailed work plans, environmental mitigation plans, and site specific health and safety plans (SSHSPs);
  • Executing Phase I, II and III ESAs, which include borehole drilling, testpit excavation, soil logging, monitoring well installation, surveying, sample collection to QA/QC protocols, data evaluation, and report preparation;
  • Conducting Designated Substance Survey and Hazardous Material Audits (DSS/HMA) for small scale residences and multi storey buildings;
  • Conducting storm and sanitary Sewer contaminant investigations;
  • Conducting complex remedial projects involving in-situ and ex-situ treatment methods;
  • Advising clients with respect to investigation, remediation or risk management strategies that are applicable to individual sites; and
  • Providing on-site supervision and project management during the execution of numerous environmental and civil projects (i.e. removal of asbestos waterlines, construction of roads, demolition of buildings, etc.)

Additionally, he has provided training workshops and presentations on a number different topics including Storage Tank Management, Contaminated Site Management, and Phase I, II and III ESAs.
